Non Fiction

• This is the general collection of resources to support courses at WelTec. It includes books, e-books, journals, databases,CD-Roms, DVDs, videos.
• Available to all students and staff to browse or take out.

Textbooks & Recommended Readings

• These are resources essential for your course work.
• Copies are kept behind the service desk on "closed reserve", which means only available for use in the Learning Commons, and are issued for two hours at a time.
• Some are available for a 3 day or 3 week loan period.
• Your tutors should provide you with a full list of textbooks and recommended readings.
• Ask our staff for help.

Reference Collection

• Dictionaries, Encyclopaedias, Telephone Books, Maps and Year Books are just some of the reference material that we have in our Reference Collection.
• Reference materials are not available for loan and can only be used in the library.
• Check out our online Reference Tools - items such as Britannica Encyclopedia online, Credo Reference & more!
  

Exam Papers

• Looking at old exam papers is a great way to revise for exams!
• Some copies of past exam papers are available electronically via our catalogue, and can be printed out for your personal use. Many exam papers are not accessible - ask your tutors

Databases

• WelTec subscribes to a large number of databases, which are free to all students and staff of WelTec
• Use a database to search for journal articles, such as Ebscohost.
  

Newspapers

• The Dominion Post, Hutt News and the National Business Review are just some of the local newspapers WelTec subscribes to for student use.
• Check our other newspapers online for both national and international coverage.
  

General Interest - Books, DVDs & Videos

• General interest books magazine and videos are provided for students to relax away from the pressures of study.
• Donated by the Students Association at WelTec.
• Available free of charge for borrowing.
