As a distance student studying at WelTec, you are entitled to borrow resources from any of our campus library collections, using our free courrier service.

For each request, please include the following details:
- Your student ID number
- Name
- Address (please notify us of any changes)
- Phone number
- Email address or fax number if you have one.
The items you request will be sent to you with a courier bag enclosed for their return free of cost.

Loan Periods
As a student learning off-campus, you may borrow up to 20 items at any one time.
- Books are issued
for 3
weeks.
- They
may be renewed for a further 3 weeks if not reserved by another
borrower.
- Loan periods will be reduced if the book has a reservation on it at the time of issue.
To renew books:
- Please contact us and request a renewal (our computer system does not generate it automatically).
- Or renew online through the catalogue by accessing your personal library record.
Journals are issued for one week only. Articles can be photocopied and sent to you directly. Journals can not be renewed.

Reservations
If a book is on loan to another borrower, you can:

Reserve it via the library
catalogue - (find a record, click on Place Reservation)
- Or ask the library staff to reserve it for you.
The book will be forwarded to you as soon as it becomes available.
When requesting a reservation, please indicate the latest date the book(s) would be useful to you.

Interloans
- If we do not hold specific material you require for your study, we can try and obtain the resource from another library for you. This is called an interloan.
- There is no charge for this service.
- Please allow adequate time for our staff to fulfil your request.
- Material obtained through the interloan scheme must be relevant to WelTec teaching programmes and designated fields of research.
Limits are placed on the number of interloans you may request per year.
- Certificate, diploma, first & second year degree students - 10 interloans
- Third year degree students - 30 interloans
